This week has been super busy getting ready for our packers to come next week.
I’m sure the next two weeks are going to be just as busy, if not more.
It’s hard to believe that so much will be so different in just two weeks…we’ll be out of our house and getting ready to move into another one in another state.
I don’t want to get so caught up in the busy to miss documenting the important moments that we are living.
Moments like celebrating Jenny’s second birthday.
Her birthday was on Wednesday and we celebrated that afternoon with cake and presents when Keith came home from work. We planned to keep her at home to play with her new toys while our other children were at church, but she adamantly let us know that she wanted to go to church, too. I love that my children love church!!! I also love that we have such a nurturing church that loves on my babies…I’m going to miss that so much!!
She work up from her nap excited that daddy was home and even more excited about cake and presents!!
Jenny has a “look” that she gives to strangers and to anyone who crosses her the wrong way. We were finally able to capture “the look” on her birthday.
This look is often accompanied by little Miss Jenny rolling her eyes at me. I’m a little ashamed to admit that my two year old rolls her eyes…how rude is that?
I spent the morning decorating Jenny’s butterfly birthday cake. I haven’t decorated a cake in so long!! It was so nice to have that focused creative time in the middle of our busy week!
After slowly enjoying her cake, Jenny was ready to move on to presents.
(I wonder how long that baby’s shoes are going to last… My prediction…not very long at all!)
We had a great day celebrating my little girl!
And now it’s back to work getting our house ready to be packed up next week!
