Keeping my three year old occupied while we homeschool is sometimes a very difficult task.
Lately he has enjoyed working on puzzles during our homeschool time.
Last week he went into our sun room to work on a floor puzzle while the girls and I worked on their math lesson.
When we came in for their snack break, I was quite impressed with how much he had pieced together himself.
The girls were anxious to help him finish his puzzle after having a quick snack.
They worked for quite some time before Will revealed that he had hidden some of the pieces within the confines of the couch cushions.
Then the girls were able to get busy with what remained of his floor puzzle.
They were so good to give him the help he needed to complete this puzzle and they worked so well together to do it.
And in the end, they were all proud of their work!
I love how our snack break from homeschool turned into a school lesson in and of itself. Yes, there was the piecing together of a good sized puzzle, but there were also more important lessons of cooperation and working together.
It reminds me to see the lessons outside the lesson book and to take advantage of learning opportunities throughout the day.

Very Sweet! I remember when my older two were younger…and the youngest was a baby. Those were busy days. They are busy now…but, I can let up a little and allow the oldest more freedom! Blessings and enjoy this amazing season of life@

You are so right! There are opportunities to learn in many things we do not stop and think about.

Wow!! They are growing up so fast! I am so proud of them! When I see them, I am going to have to do some puzzles with them. It seems as if it was just yesterday when I was holding EA in my arms for the first time. Were has the time gone too?
