I am currently reading The Joy of Encouragement: Unlock the Power of Building Others Up by David Jeremiah.
The ladies in my life group at church are meeting on Sunday evenings to discuss this book.
“What our world needs most is to see love in action—in our homes, in our churches, in our cities, in our streets.”
~The Joy of Encouragement, ch. 1
I also just started reading Finding Your Purpose as a Mom: How to Build Your Home on Holy Ground by Donna Otto. I’m reading this on my Kindle as I walk in the mornings.

Oh, I love posts about books! 🙂 I am currently reading several books … mostly because I can’t decide which to pursue fully. I am reading “Be Successful” by Warren Wiersbe in correlation with the study I’m teaching on First Samuel. I’m also reading …
– “Half the Church” by Carolyn Custis James (This presents the need for a global definition of the roles and purposes of women. If God is truly for all the world — which He is — than His truths must be true for everyone. Our understandings are limited if they only ring true in Western cultures.)
– “No Other Gods” by Kelly Minter (I’ve just started this one; again, it’s in correlation with a study I plan to teach over the summer. The subtitle is “confronting our modern day idols.”)
– “The Edge of Grace” by Christa Allen (This is a novel by a new-to-me author. I got it free on my kindle a week or so ago. LOVE FREE BOOKS! 🙂 The main character struggles to find and define grace in light of her believing brother’s recent “coming out.” I am very curious to see how the author handles the issue of homosexuality within the church.)
