I just finished reading Ann Voskamp’s One Thousand Gifts this weekend. I read the last pages sitting alone at a table at Panara with nothing but a strawberry scone and my quiet thoughts of thankfulness.
This is a book that has made an impact on me, on my life and on my spirit as I am becoming more aware of the everyday gifts {blessings} that fill my life with gratitude.
16. a little boy’s recounting of his night’s dream filled with imagination
17. busy baby rolling across the floor
18. dusting of white
19. warm oatmeal and hot chocolate
20. our first loose tooth
21. a big sister teaching baby sister to play catch
22. a full stomach
23. sweet girls working hard to clean their room and please their mommy
24. a missing tooth…my girl’s growing up
25. a chocolate cake to celebrate
26. fun pink shoes
27. 2.8 lbs lost…a new goal achieved
28. a full freezer
29. little ones lined up on the church pew watching their Daddy preach the morning’s sermon
30. children crowded around eager to help
What everyday moments are you thankful for this week?
I was excited to see this morning that One Thousand Gifts is the first Bloom Book Club selection for this year. I look forward to reading it again and participating in this book club for the first time. I believe could read this book a million times and still need to read it again. And I just cannot wait to see the videos with commentary from Angie, Jessica, and Ann Voskamp herself!
