Last Thursday, we took advantage of an offer of free admission for Veterans and went on a trip to Jamestown Settlement.
At Jamestown Settlement, the story of the people who founded Jamestown and the Indians they encountered is told through gallery exhibits and living history.
Powhatan Indian Village
Jamestown Settlement Ships
James Fort
We had a great time exploring the museum, the Indian village, the fort, and the replica of the ships that brought the first settlers to America.

looks like it was fun! we’ve never done that trip…wish we would have last year when we were in Williamsburg and it was so darn cold over Thanksgiving – totally slipped my mind even though we had lived less than 5 miles away all those years.

I LOVE Jamestown. It is one of my favorite places to take the kids. We haven’t been in a few years, but it looks like it hasn’t changed much! 🙂
