//one// Wednesday
We just finished watching the Netflix show Wednesday staring Jenna Ortega last night. We watched two episodes a night starting last Wednesday. We absolutely loved this series!! Jenna Ortega’s acting was suburb and just perfection for this role. Everone had a guess for who the murderer was and it turned out that Will was the winner on that!
//two// Currently Reading
I am currently reading Home by Marilynne Robinson. It is the second book in her award winning Gilead series. I read Gilead last year, but waited to pick up the second book in the series. I enjoyed it and I am enjoying Home, but these books are very contemplative, so the pacing is slow. It is perfect for this week when I wanted to stretch out my reading just a bit so that I’ll finish this in January to count towards my 2023 reading goal.
//three// Currently Puzzling
The puzzle that I am currently working on is Merry Moonlight Skaters. This is a 500 piece puzzle by Galison perfect for this week with its Wintery scene. I love the bits of gold foil fount throughtout the scene as well.
//four// Paperwhite
I am trying to do a bit more reading on my Kindle Paperwhite. I honesly prefer reading paper books (perferable hardback ones), but because our mail has been incredibly reliable I’m trying not to order anything new. My last Amazon order was returned and it’s taking my Book of the Month boxes months to get here. I am thankful for the books I received for Christmas and still have some Book of the Month orders coming in, but when those are finished–it’s reading on the Paperwhite for me!!! (at least until we are settled in El Paso with a new address)
//five// New Year’s Eve Plans
I’m not one for staying up late on New Year’s Eve. I like to wake up early on New Year’s Day fully rested to start the new year out well. This year the kids are planning a movie marathon and Keith and I are planning to walk downtown in the morning and then go back there for a lunch date. I’m making Beef Tamales for dinner and we’ll watch a movie as a family. One of my daughters is going out to watch fireworks with friends. The other kids may or may not stay up until midnight. They are old enough now that we leave it up to them to decide what they would like to do with the only cravat being that they have to be tolerable the next day.
