We had a wonderful Veterans Day family party at home last night. You’ll have to come back to hear more about it, but isn’t Jenny just too cute in her newspaper party hat??
Here are some of my favorites that I just had to share with you today!

From My Personal Reading…
I finished reading The Power of Less by Leo Babauta, the author of the simplicity blog, Zen Habits. It has inspired me to get more organized, but to do it through simplicity. For the month of November I am working on establishing the habit of waking at 5 am. I also have a goal to organize my work area. I decluttered my desk this week and I love it!!
I began reading Immanuel’s Veins, the newest book by Ted Dekker.
From Homeschool this Week…
EA & MC memorized John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches; If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing.”
We continued reading The Family Under the Bridge and had great discussions about how blessed we are to have a home.
We practiced writing the letters n, m, and did a handwriting review.
We conducted our first math assessment and made designs with pattern blocks.
We went on a field trip to historic Jamestown.
So tell me…How was your week??
