Since I started sewing again, I’ve added tons of craft blogs to my reader.
One of my favorites is Craftaholics Anonymous. She is an awesome crafter with lots of tutorials and fun features. When I read that she was hosting a Homemade Gift Exchange, I knew that this was something that I wanted to be a part of and signed up immediately.
My partner in the exchange is Jenn at Brynn’s Boutique. She has her own Etsy shop where she sells beautiful bows and other homemade goodies. I’m afraid I may have been a little out of my league, but still so excited to make something homemade for someone.
For Jenn I made a set of ten monogramed notecards and two scrabble tile pendants.
Five of the notecards have a black initial in the middle with pink on either side and five are pink in the middle with black on the outside. For these notecards I used the alpha and swirly from the Compassion kit by Digital Design Essentials and Shabby Princess.
The scrabble tile pendants have an owl and love design. These are one of my favorite craft projects to give as gifts.
I found two jewlery boxes floating around our homeschool room to package these in and I topped the boxes with monogramed stickers. My Xyron machine is my favorite tool for making quick stickers and labels.
I put Jenn’s gifts in the mail yesterday and I can’t wait for her to receive them!!!
