I hosted a coffee for my husband’s brigade last week.
We went to one of my favorite local Mexican restaurants for dinner.
We did not have coffee. But one lucky person went away with a Starbucks gift card.
I was told several days before that one of the hosting responsibilities was to provide a small gift for a raffle.
I immediately knew I wanted to provide a Starbucks gift card. It is a gift I would love to receive myself, after all.
With the help of some digital scrapbook supplies, my printer, scissors, scoring board, and bakers twine, I was able to make a cute little gift card holder to dress it up a little bit.
For this project I used a gift card holder template. The exact one I used isn’t available anymore, but there are plenty available in digital scrapbooking shops.
I used the coffee inspired kit Where’s My Coffee by Asrilisa Designs, available at Me So Scrappy.
After designing the card in Photoshop Elements, I made an additional page and copied the word strip and coffee/doughnut elements onto it. I printed out the card and the additional elements. After assembling the card, I used glue dots to adhere the word strip and coffee elements on to give dimension.
I wrapped it in color coordinated bakers twine to finish off the packaging.
