Before Keith left to join me at the Volunteer Awards Ceremony on Thursday morning, the kids were working on building a lego tower. I think MC was the one that started it and it was a little taller than she is.
It came as no surprise that they continued to work on it with their babysitter while we were gone.
But we were surprised at what they were able to accomplish.
Yes, their tower went from the floor to the ceiling. Their babysitter had to put a slip of paper between the top of their tower and the ceiling to keep it in place. We let it stay up all day so that we could admire their handiwork.

impressive! we love our Legos here too, but never made anything here like that. It always gets the boys version of love – smackdown!

Wow. our lego creations never got like that in my house growing up we usually would tear it apart and through the pieces at each other in a blind rage. (at least my brothers would. I promise they are good friends now having successfully grown up with only murder attempts)

I was seriously impressed. I actually called my husband over and said, “You have got to look at this!” I can’t wait to show my kids. I had no idea one could build a lego tower that tall!!

I had to show my hubby too and we both were amazed! I just wondered a couple of things:
1. How did the babysitter get that high to slip the paper between the tower and the ceiling?
2. How many times did that tower fall down before they finally got it up to the ceiling? (I’m impressed with their patience and perseverance! Maybe some adults need to take lessons from them on not giving up.)

I’m glad you were all impressed with the kids’ lego tower….Keith and I sure were! I’m sure the babysitter had to use a chair to reach up to help them get it all the way to the ceiling. And she did say that they had to start over several times after it fell down. I also think there were lots of “Will, don’t touch that!!!” instructions.

Others have said it, but it bears repeating: That is impressive [smile].
