Yesterday’s challenge at The Lilypad was to create a page with a list of fourteen things that you would like to do or hope to achieve this year. We also had to include 2014 somewhere on the page.
I immediately knew that I wanted to incorporate this with my One Little Word for this year.
So, I came up with a list of “dares” for the year.

In 2014 I will dare to…
give of myself more
be vulnerable
let others see me…the real me
be different
love wholeheartedly
give a voice to my thoughts
believe that I am worthy of my calling
believe that I have a calling
give more fully to, for, and with my husband
be a grace-giving mom
live fully
try new things
embrace perfections
and
have fun
This was s super challenging layout to complete.
First, I had to come up with my list (I used my first One Little Word 2014 post to help me out with this) and then I had to create a list layout.
List layouts are hard for me.
So are photo-less layouts.
But, in the end I am pretty happy with the results.
You will notice that these “dares” are fairly broad.
That’s the way I think. I’m a “big picture” kind of girl.
I’m don’t get lost in the details. In fact, the details often elude me.
The problem is, I’m not really sure how to judge if I’m living up to the goals I have set. For example, how do I know if I am “living fully” or “giving of myself more”? I guess it will be based on feelings.
Maybe it’s a good thing that I won’t have the burden of constantly “judging” and possibly grading myself…I do that enough already.
At the end of the year I would like to be able to look back and this list with a feeling pride that progress has been made.

Being vulnerable, and embracing perfections are two things I am working on this year. I would love to have this list as a printable! 🙂
