We planned to ditch our normal Wednesday night plans this week.
Our church was doing derby cars for AWANA and we just weren’t prepared to take that on this year. Since our children were pretty much the only ones not participating, we decided to have a family night at home.
I planned to pull out a board game for our time together, but my girls had other plans.
For days they have been practicing for a “concert” in anticipation for our family night. So, I let them go with it and we all looked forward to a concert in our living room after dinner on Wednesday evening.
We spent the afternoon baking brownies and I even ordered pizza for dinner…a special treat!
After dinner, the girls changed into PJ’s and brought down some of their favorite stuffed animals for additional audience members while I set out brownies on a plate.
My husband and I sat down on the couch to enjoy this special performance by two little girls who delighted in entertaining us.
MC began the evening with a few instructions.
Photography, both film and digital, was permitted…thank goodness!!!
Next, EA introduced her sister as the soloist for the evening.
There was guitar playing, singing, and even a speech by EA with bites of brownie in between.
Then Jenny came up to dance with her big sister.
When it was all over, Will ran up to his room to grab his Toy Story Woody guitar.
Then he promptly demanded an encore performance of the entire thing, only this time he was included.
He loves to be included, and I don’t blame him…I do, too!
What a fun night!!!
