There’s nothing that motivates me more and gets my mojo going than a good challenge!
Before we began our move I was discouraged with my scrapping…I had just been turned down for a CT spot (again), was falling behind in Project Life, and was feeling pretty lousy about myself as a scrapper.
Then The Lilypad announced an upcoming Month of Challenges for the month of January to get everyone’s motivation up for scrapping in the new year. I told my husband about it and he immediately encouraged me to do it.
I was hesitant because I knew we were getting ready to start a huge cross-country move and my scrapping time would be very limited. But my husband pressed on in encouraging me to take on this challenge.
Everyday in January a new challenge has been posted in the forums at The Lilypad and I have done my best to complete them. I haven’t been able to complete every single challenge, but I’ve held my own and I have plans to catch up before the deadline of Feb. 2.
This challenge has kept me scrapping through one of the most stressful times of the year and kept my mojo up at a time when it would otherwise have been very low. In fact, I don’t think I would have gotten any “just for fun” scrapping done had my husband not been encouraging me to do this.
And at the end of the month if I don’t have all of the challenges completed, I will still have a huge number of pages scrapped that I can be proud of.
I thought the best way to show you the layouts I’ve completed for this challenge so far would be to create a gallery in this post. You can click on each image to see it larger and for credits, you can visit my gallery at The Lilypad.
In addition to these challenge layouts I’ve also done two layouts for Charlize Creations that I’d like to share today (each is linked for credits).
Whew!!
Now that I’m caught up, I’ll be posting a weekly Scrapbook Saturday post again. I’m entertaining the thought of making Scrapbook Saturday a weekly link-up post where you can link-up with your own post of scrapbook pages for the week or even your favorite gallery layouts. Would you be interested in joining a weekly Scrapbook Saturday post?
Have you carved out some time this year for some scrapping or crafting?

These pages look fabulous. Good for you for working on pages even through a move. Maybe it helped to have a little creative outlet amidst the chaos!!
I think a link party would be so much fun. I would participate. It would motivate me to scrap weekly!!
I love you ENJOY 2012 page! What a great idea. I think I might go back and do that for the back page of my 2012 Project Life album. Love!
