I’m going to start out by confessing that I didn’t do so great with last wee’s menu. My husband ended up going out of town during the weekend and I abandoned our planned meals for easy food with the kids. We had a movie night Friday night with delivery pizza and EA’s favorite movie! Sometimes it’s fun to let go a just have fun, and that’s what I did.
But that’s the beauty of planning…I have to freedom do to just that. To change the plans and be spontaneous when the time calls for it.
Anyway, you’ll see at least one repeat on this week’s menu. Because plans changed, I didn’t get to have the Crockpot Country Ribs and Mashed potatoes. My husband actually requested that I have them when he would be home to enjoy them. They were planned for a night that he was out of town.
So…here’s this week’s plan…
Monday – Crockpot Country Ribs and Mashed Potatoes with a vegetable
Tuesday – Mexican Chicken
Wednesday – leftovers (Date Night)
Thursday – Velveeta Cheeseburger Macaroni
Friday – Hot Dogs w/Chili and Baked Fries
Saturday – Baked Spaghetti (from the freezer)
Sunday – Pizza
I’ve been working on a list of regular meals that we have more often. I like to experiment and try a new recipe each week, but I think it will help my planning to have a good list available of things that are regular meals for us. I’m planning to post my list when I have it all completed.
So…what’s on your menu for this week? Let me know in the comments!

I plan my meals too…. and the plans often go awry…. happen to me last week too…. so everything moved up a day or two…
I have to plan pretty carefully… otherwise the food budget goes out the window… I work around intended foods for the blog… and I have to include old favorites… actually… my blog is still working its way through my old recipes… I haven’t even scratched the surface on the blog yet…
Meal planning does help a lot… and changing it after you’ve planned is not such a big deal… you’re right it is easier if have a plan to start with.
