Because I am nursing Jenny, my husband hasn’t really been able to help with late night/middle of the night feedings in the traditional way.
But he has really helped tremendously.
One thing that I totally forgot about nursing until I experienced it again was the need for water.
I get thirsty much more than I normally do, especially during those late night/middle of the night feedings.
So, Keith has started filling a water bottle full of ice and water for me and sitting it by my nursing chair in Jenny’s room.
Sometimes it’s already there when Jenny and I make our way to our special nursing spot in the middle of the night.
And other times I hear him getting out of bed as I’m starting to nurse and he returns bringing me the precious bottle of water.
This help takes a willing sacrifice from him and I am so very appreciative of it.

Awwww! That is so sweet!

Ahhh…the endless thirst! I usually make my way to the fridge with a crying baby before we go to our spot. But, that’s a wonderful idea…I’ll have to pass it along to Buck! Way to go Keith!!

Mark does many, many things to help, but I’ve always done all the middle of the night stuff because it’s nice for one of us to have a good night’s sleep. 🙂 It’s nice that your husband wants to pitch in in that manner.
