As one year nears its end and another begins anew, I find myself ready to embrace and open to this newness.
My heart is ready, eager, and excited for all that 2012 will bring.
Open to it all.
This morning I am heading out with laptop, journal, pen, heart, and mind to make plans, dreams, and goals for this new year.
I am open to His plans for this new year.
His plans for me, my family, my home in this upcoming year.
2011 was hard in many ways.
I grew, grieved, and gave of myself.
I celebrated, learned, and achieved.
2012 will be challenging in some ways that I already know of. There will be new challenges, moves and decisions to be made.
My heart is open to it all.
Are you open to the coming of the new year?
This post is linked to 5 Minute Friday at The Gypsy Mama.
Every Friday I take five minutes out of my morning to write, open and honest words. These five minutes of writing never cease to be a blessing to my day.
The topic this week was Open.

Dangerous words, they are. “Open to it all.” My feelings: Bring on the good, but I tremble at the challenges I may face next year. Great encouragement to be open to what God has in store. Thank you for your wise words.

agreeing with alison. open, yes. trembling a bit also. . . definitely. but excited. but we are safe, are we not? and that is where the comfort lies.

Oh, I envy your open and willing spirit! I wish that I were more obedient in my faith walk. Struggling with the prospect of a new year. I desperately need to learn to let go of the fear and allow Him to lead the way. Maybe once I begin my yearlong Bible study, I’ll begin to shed the nervousness and recover the trust. Looking forward to following you into 2012!

I need to be more open–especially to dreams, and goals, and possibilities. I spent so much of 2010 with my head down, surviving, only able to handle the thought of today– living just one day at a time. While God had created us to take on life DAILY, I have not been open to hearing his promises and re-setting my frame-of-mind to include more than today, this week, this paycheck.
Thank you for sharing— and for inspiring me. I need to make some time in my schedule this week to do some dreaming– to get alone with Him and let my Daddy whisper His plans for me in my ear. 🙂
As I take this time, please know I will also be praying for you and your year ahead, sweet friend. I am so glad to share a small part in your life through this blog. I love your guts! 😉
