Jenny is the first of my babies that I have actually been able to decorate a nursery for.
Because the girls were so premature, my mother and sister in law were so wonderful to decorate their room for me while I was visiting them in the NICU. At the time I didn’t really care about decorating their room…I just wanted to be by their side as much as I could! I appreciate so much the care that they put into fixing up their nursery.
We moved to Germany when Will was just 8 weeks old, and our belongings didn’t arrive until almost a month after that, so nursery decorating didn’t happen with him either.
With Jenny I really desired to fix up a cute little nursery for her to come home to.
I had most of it put together except for wooden name letters and word art on the wall before she made her surprise arrival almost four weeks ahead of schedule.
Now that my baby is almost three months old, I figured it was time to show you pictures of her nursery.
Oh…who am I kidding?
Now that Jenny is almost three months old, I just finished decorating her nursery!
The blue chair in the corner was my husband’s grandmother’s chair. He’s had that chair since before we were married. I specifically looked for baby girls’ bedding that had blue in it because of that chair.
It’s where I sit to nurse Jenny in the middle of the night.
The vinyl word art on the wall above her crib reads, “Goodnight stars, goodnight air, goodnight noises everywhere.â€
I bet you can you guess which favorite bedtime book that came from!
I made these wooden letters myself. Well, I didn’t actually make the letters. I purchased those from a craft store, but I did drill holes in them, paint them, and hang them from pink polka-dotted ribbon.
I just finished them today!!
Sitting on her changing table is “Bringing Up Girls†by James Dobson. A review is coming as soon as I can make my way through it. I’m not getting in a lot of time for my reading these days!

Adorable. Lucky you! I never decorated a nursery either b/c our house was always and seriously under construction. I was lucky there was room for a crib somewhere LOL. Beautiful job Mommy! 4th time’s a charm!
