Last Friday Jenny asked me no less than three million times to play her Minnie Mouse memory game with her.
I promised her that I would after I finished my walk on the treadmill.
When I finished my three miles and the latest episode of Grey’s, it’s safe to say that the last thing I wanted to do was sit on the kitchen floor and play a game of Minnie Mouse memory.
But, life isn’t always about what we *want* to do.
It was important that I keep my promise to my little girl, so I did.
The time I spent with Jenny playing memory was the best spent time of my day.
It made my little girl’s heart happy for her mommy (who she adores) to sit by her side and play a game, to spend a few moments of undivided attention on her.
And in turn, it made my heart happy, too!
I may not have wanted to sit down and play with my little girl after a workout, but I am so very glad that I did!
