Only one more week of Project Life to go and this year is done!
I am so excited that I decided to do Project Life this year. I’m even more excited that I stuck with it and have completed an entire year of documenting our everyday memories!
And, I’m even more excited about the plans I have for Project Life in 2012.
I ordered the Clementine Project Life digital kit to use next year and downloaded the Scrap It Pocket Pages from WendyZine that were available for The Daily Game subscribers at The Daily Digi.
If you’ve given any thought at all to doing Project Life in 2012 or if you’re just wondering what it is, you must watch this video from Becky Higgins. It describes it way better than I ever could!
Okay, now on to this week…
Christmas week was packed full of picture taking opportunities. We had a wonderful and very full week. So full that it seems as if we fit two weeks worth of exciting activities and life into this one very special week.
Monday – I had to clean everything out of our van to take it to be cleaned, including all four car seats. The kids had a blast playing airplane and train rides while their seats were lined up in the hallway.
Tuesday – A clean van was one of the best presents I received this year! I never thought I would be so excited to have a clean car, but I was thrilled about this…and we’ve even kept it clean for an entire week!
Wednesday – Elizabeth Anne, Mary Catherine, and I made homemade peanut butter for a math project on reading measurements. Then we all enjoyed a snack of peanut butter crackers…yum!
Thursday – I began my Christmas baking on Thursday with red velvet cupcakes. The big kids helped me decorate them with cream cheese frosting and candy decorations.
Friday – After dinner Elizabeth Anne asked Keith and I to go see a special project in her room that she worked on all afternoon. She made her own nativity scene with stuffed animals and dolls.
Saturday – We have a family Christmas party with a variety of finger foods on Christmas Eve every year. This year’s party was our best yet! Will was super excited to dig into his plate of food and get the party started.
We also began a new tradition this year of having the children exchange gifts with one another on Christmas Eve. This was a really sweet and precious time between the four of them. They were all so excited to give the gifts they picked out for one another and were truly thankful for what they received.
