Well, our move to Texas is well underway.
Our packers began their work last Thursday and finished up on Saturday morning.
We’re living life maneuvering around boxes and out of suitcases.
We spent the weekend visiting family and saying our last goodbyes.
Jenny got to help Grandma in the kitchen and the others got to play with their cousins.
My parents came today for a visit and my little ones enjoyed a little more time with Nanny and Papa.
This afternoon we all needed to get out of this mostly empty house and breathe fresh air.
We went for a short hike at the state park and ended it with some playground time.
We’ll spend the new year enjoying time with one another, cleaning our house, re-packing suitcases and preparing for our movers to load everything we own on a truck headed for Texas on Wednesday.
In just one week we’ll be in El Paso looking for a new home and moving forward with all things new.
2013 is going to be a year of adventure for us.
I’m thinking my word for the new year is going to be “embrace” as I seek to do so with all of the new that is coming our way. Because, if I’m going to be completely honest with you, I’d have to admit that I’m struggling with that right now. I’m having a hard time seeing past the tired that’s right in front of me to the adventure that waits just beyond it.

Love your guts, sweet friend– Excited to witness this adventure unfold!!!
