The other night while sitting at the dinner table, MC began reprimanding EA.
Yes, I said that correctly….MC was reprimanding her twin sister.
For what?? For talking like a baby.
MC told her not to talk like a baby several times.
Now while I don’t appreciate EA’s baby talk, I also wanted to teach MC that it wasn’t her place to correct her sister.
So, I told MC that it was Mommy and Daddy’s job to tell EA how to act.
After that, I turned to EA and told her not to talk like a baby.
EA looks at me in all seriousness and says, “Well, I just want to be born again.”
Keith and I could not contain our laughter and I’m sure she did not see the humor in the situation, in what she just said.
I said, “Well, baby, I pray that one day you are born again, but you won’t be a baby again….Sorry”.
And I do.
I pray that one day, she asks Jesus into her heart and becomes “born again”, a new creation with a new life devoted to Christ.

How sweet! My 5 year old wants to be younger again so she can do all the things her little sister does. At the same time she wants to be a grown up. Part of that stage of life, I guess.

Precious. I understand your prayer for her to someday grasp the magnitude of wanting to truly be “born again”. That has been a prayer of my heart for my children as well from the day they were born.
I’m not sure there is a greater prayer that we can pray for our children than that they walk with God.

too funny! we certainly do have our own language the kids need to figure out. I love these kind of posts.

That was seriously funny the other night! Although, I’m not sure if EA wanting to be “born again” or MC wanting you to “eat her” is funnier! They’re too precious!
