I took the kids to the library on post yesterday for pre-school storytime. It is something that I have wanted to make a priority after Keith left from his leave.
The storytime here is really nice. The librarian that does it is great with the kids!
They always have a little snack time and do really neat crafts along with listening to a picture book (usually two).
For the craft this week, the children made decopaged Easter baskets out of milk cartons and tissue paper. They even filled them with green paper grass and candy.
The candy was supposed to be saved for after lunch, but Will was having none of that. He tried to rip into it with his teeth! Unfortunately (for him) this did not work.
I love that Will is able to enjoy this activity along with his sisters. I was actually surprised at how well he sat and listen to the story. He did get a little wild distracted during craft time when he snatched EA’s Easter basket and threw it on the ground.
He was just partaking in his favorite passtime….terrorizing his sisters. This kid is 100% all boy.

What cute little baskets! Sounds like a fun outing. I gotta tell you, I think terrorizing your older siblings may not just be a boy thing as my little girl also takes great joy in terrorizing her older siblings. They have nicknamed her “The Destroyer.”

I have been promising The Girl that we will start going to the library when she can show me that she can be careful and respectful with property (IE keep her room some what clean) I’m starting to think that I am doing her more of a disservice than aiding in the cleanliness of her room. I might be time to rethink that.
