I am ready and excited to begin the first week of 2016!!!
I had so much fun decorating my planner using Just Jaimee’s Story Planner 2016 January Kit! I’m still learning how I want each week to look in my planner, but I’m definitely having fun playing with it. I had one goof up when I was writing in my planner…I put down fried rice for dinner two days in a row…ha! We’re actually having fish tacos on Tuesday…I just got completely off track when I was writing things out.
I left space in my weekly planner to write out what I’m blogging each day (which I haven’t filled in yet). I’m trying to be a little more intentional about planning out posts.
I also left space to write down each day’s scrapbooking challenge for the Month of Challenges. This will help me a ton if I get behind on that!
We have a pretty light week, which I good since we’re starting back to school tomorrow and it always takes a bit of an adjustment to get back into the routine of school after a long break. Wish us luck and say a prayer for us tomorrow!
Goals for the Week:
- Read Bible/Journal daily and e-mail “Good Morning Girls” group
- Get back into a good routine with school
- Exercise at least 5 days, reaching 10,000 step goal
- Spend 15 min. a day doodling or hand lettering
- Keep up with MOC4 scrapbooking challenges
- Read next chapter in Raising Grateful Kids in an Entitled World
- Write in “Blessings All Mine” journal each night
Here’s out meal plan for this week with links to the recipes I’ll be using:
Sunday – leftovers
Monday – Fried Rice & Egg Rolls
Tuesday – Fish Tacos; Tortilla Chips
Wednesday – Crock Pot Potato Soup
Thursday – Rice & Pinto Beans; Corn Muffins
Friday – Cheesy Chicken Broccoli and Rice Casserole
Just a few notes about this week’s menu plan…
We’re trying something new right now, to help with some health and spending goals, we’re having fish one meal a week and a rice and beans meal once a week as well. We have done this in the past and it really helps! I’m on the look out for some good fish recipes. Fish tacos are a family favorite, though.
I usually do at least one crock pot meal a week. On Wednesday this week we have co-op and having a meal in the crock pot really helps out with that!
I pray that you have a wonderful start to a new week!

I saw that with the fried rice and thought “wow, they really like fried rice” 🙂 I don’t have any fish recipes since nobody but me in my house eats it but check out Good Cheap Eats. I know in her cookbooks she has a decent amount of fish/seafood recipes. I love getting fish tacos when I go out to eat.
