All of the kids were feeling a bit under the weather on Friday, so grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup was needed for lunch.
EA accompanied me to the commissary to get groceries on Friday afternoon. We spotted her former babysitter’s photo on the Jones soda carton. She was so excited to find this and share her find with her sister!!
EA also practiced her typing with her doll, Kit. She received the Kit’s typewriter as a birthday present.
Keith and I took EA and MC out to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory for their birthday.
These two were so excited that they were old enough to order from the adult menu…it was really a big deal to them! I never realized that was such a rite of passage, but it certainly was for these my two girls.
This was their dessert…snickers cheesecake…yum!
Make a wish, girls!
From the Cheesecake Factory we headed to the American Girl Store. EA and MC have been looking forward to a trip to this store ever since they knew we were moving to Kansas City two years ago. To say they were excited would be an understatement.
The girls took their dolls to the hair salon and had their ears pierced while they shopped.
It was a really fun day out with our new eleven year olds!
Saturday was a beautiful day, so we were able to just spend some time outside after returning home.

EA received a coin for memorizing a Bible verse in children’s church on Sunday morning.
What a fun weekend!!
