When I walked into Will’s room after quiet time earlier this week, here’s the scene that I was met with….
Yes, what a mess!!
The entire contents of a bulk package of baby wipes were strewn all over Will’s bedroom floor.
As I felt my blood pressure rising, Will looks up and says in the most innocent voice, “Give Tiger a bath, Mommy.â€
As in….the wipes were all over the floor because he was giving his stuffed Tiger a bath in this make shift bath tub.
Here’s the conversation that followed…
Mommy: “What Will!?â€
Will: “Give Tiger a bath.â€
Mommy: “You gave Tiger a bath?â€
Will: “Wah!†(that’s his word for yes)
Mommy: “Well, you’re going to have to clean up this mess.â€
Will: “WHAT?!?â€
Mommy: “You made this mess in your room. You have to clean all of these wipes that you put on the floor. Pick them up and put them in the trash.â€
Will: “Oh, dear….â€
Cuteness is definitely his saving grace!

This made me laugh! Good job keeping it together. I would have been more upset at the loss of a whole tub of wipes than the mess though! He’s a creative little guy!

The ‘old dear’ did me in! I would have to have forgiven him then! Last week my son did the same thing with dryer sheets.

Ah. I must say the “Oh Dear” could melt anyone heart, but especially Mom’s. At least it was wipes and not the contents of a sippy cup 😉
