I have really been having a lot of fun with the doughnut pans my husband gave me for Christmas this year!
I made chocolate doughnuts using Stonewall Kitchen Chocolate Doughnut Mix one morning last week and everyone in my family loved them!!
After seeing my family’s reaction to these chocolate doughnuts with chocolate frosting and red and white sprinkles I have decided that this is what I will be serving for breakfast on Valentine’s Day.
For our Valentine’s breakfast I will be making the chocolate doughnuts myself instead of from a mix, though. Mine weren’t quite as crumbly.
Will exclaimed, “Mommy, I like these…they’re my favorite!!! They’re chocolate with frosting and they have my favorite kind of cake…SPRINKLES!!!!”
Making this little boy’s morning made my day!
Here’s our dinner menu for the week…
Sunday – Chicken and sausage Pileaux; Macaroni & Cheese; Broccoli

You’re starting to sell me on the idea of a donut maker but I would eat more than anyone else so I’m trying to resist

Monica – I admire your menu plan for the week! It strikes me that you are cooking every single night. Good for you. I usually cook big meals 2 or 3 times and then we do leftovers and/or something really simple I want to cook more like you. 🙂
Your Valentine dinner sounds really nice I saw that herat shaped pepperoni idea on Pinterest! We’ll be having a pasta dish I found with a make your own ice cream sundaes. I found a cute spiced apple cider for a treat during the day, too.
ENjoy your week – looks like you are well organized!

Thank you so much for this comment, Mary!!!
I tend to plan a lot and then move things around if we have leftovers or if something comes up. But, I usually do end up cooking most nights. It’s just become a habit and our meals are usually fairly simple so that I can.
I saw the heart shaped pepperoni pizza idea on Pinterest, too, but forgot to actually pin it. 🙂 I was planning to order pizza or pasta. My girls have dance on Tuesdays and dinner is usually a crock pot meal, but I wanted something more special for Valentine’s. But when I was grocery shopping I decided that it wasn’t really that much more work to just to a pizza myself with a pre-made crust and the heart shaped pepperoni pizza came to mind. It will probably end up being quicker than I could have pizza delivered anyway, and more special!
Your spiced apple cider treat sounds yummy!!! I love how you are so focused on your children and really take the time to make things special for them!
