Almost every Saturday morning my neighbor and I go to a yoga class in downtown Leavenworth. It was her New Year’s resolution to learn yoga and some friends and I joined her in this quest.
I missed last Saturday because I needed a quite morning, so I was really looking forward to going this morning.
But then my friend couldn’t make it. She did offer to watch my kids so I could go. I anxiously took her up on this offer because I’ve never gone by myself.
You see, even though I’ve been doing this Yoga-thing since the new year, I’m still quite intimidated by it all. I’m not terribly balanced or flexible and I am questioning myself the entire time. I’m sure it takes a bit of the “zen” away to have such a mental conflict going on the entire time.
This is what’s going on in my mind.
…I’m not doing this right…it’s not about perfection MONICA…oh where are my feet supposed to be…what did she say…how to I made that happen…would you just relax already….
But at the end of each class I am always so relaxed and really ready to take on the next week.
So, I decided to go even though I was strongly tempted to skip and park myself in a coffee shop with a book instead.
I drove downtown to realize that there was a big Halloween event going on and had to search to find a parking spot…again tempted to call it off.
BUT I was a “good girl” and I made the right choice to walk into the Yoga studio with a smile on my face. AND I had a great class!! My downward dogs were spot on today!
Afterwards I just could not resist the call of donuts from Bassa Prua, my favorite donut shop!
So I treated myself to a yummy donut before going home to the kids.
Yoga and donuts…it can totally be a thing, right??
As a special bonus today, I decided to record a process video of me scrapping this layout.
I give some tips and instructions along the way as I create this layout.
I love watching process videos and seeing how other scrapbookers put their pages together.
I hope you enjoy this!

Oooo! What a great design, Monica! And I love this palette! Hilariously familiar story, too. We’ve all been there ;). That donut looks amazing! I’ve never heard of that place before. We’re fond of Lamar’s Donuts. Mmmm! You’re making me hungry. I’m going to have to come back and check out that process video, when I’ve got a little more time. FUN!
