I have chosen One Little Word to focus on in 2012.
I’ve never done this before. In fact, last year I balked at the idea.
But, this year I am fully embracing it and the focus it brings. I am taking Ali Edwards’ One Little Word class at Big Picture Classes and making this one word a true focus.
My one little word is Enjoy.
I’ll be writing more about it later this week, but this morning it struck me that this is why I take the time to write down my blessings in a journal.
This is why I count and recount those blessings.
This is why I post them on Monday mornings.
This is why I link up to Ann’s Multitude on Monday posts.
It is all so that I will truly enjoy all these blessings that have so graciously been bestowed upon me by my loving Father.
It is in the writing down, the counting, the recounting, the posting, the sharing, the linking up that I see and enjoy all that I have been given.
Today I am counting…
449. Christmas memories treasured up in my heart
450. pirates all around this house
451. playing games and building toys with my little boy
452. dancing with my girls
453. empathy shown to a big sister in pain
454. brother and sister sitting side-by-side
455. pink and purple bracelet making together
456. four year old playing doctor with his daddy, “you have a baby in your tummy!” (uh-oh)
457. father and son sharing bottled drinks together
458. tiny cupcakes…blue frosting and silver sprinkles
459. celebrating the New Year with a family party and movie
460. chocolate covered strawberries
461. worship together on the first day of the new year
462. one little word focus for the new year: ENJOY

Fabulous photos of your family! Believe it or not, I got a toy doctor kit as a child – the stethoscope hasn’t changed a bit in ALL those years! Very impressed by your strong, positive attitude. Thank you for sharing your list!

Nice to find your cheerful site. I was a military wife for 22 years….and in some ways, once a military wife, always a military wife. : ) I like your concept of a theme word for the year, and you picked a great one! God bless you,
Gail

I can’t wait to hear more about your word this year. And I love the pictures of the kiddos. The pirate one is just too cute!

I love your idea of a one word theme! I have been working on being more of a cup-half-full kind of gal. I may just adopt your “enjoy” theme.

I love the word enjoy, and it reminds me to enjoy life every day! I believe in the power of gratitude, and I keep gratitude in my heart to brighten my life each day.
Today I’m grateful for Saturdays, “me” time, furkids, laughter, love, hope, sparkly things, yummy food, a safe and comfortable home, and having everything I truly need today.
Have a grateful day!
Chrysta
