I celebrated my 45th birthday yesterday.
It felt like a “big birthday”.
It feels like I have officially entered middle age.
I am really loving this season of my life. It’s as if I have finally learned who I am and am fully accepting of this person–flaws and all.
This year of my life is going to contain a lot. It feels like I can see so much coming my way that I am ready for and overwhelmed by at the same time.
I have travel plans to visit Barcelona, Rome and Venice. And I’m sure there will be more spontaneous trips to places within Germany we well.
We are also planning to move back to the states next summer. Along with that move, we are planning to buy a house for the first time. That is both super exciting and scary to me.
I am going to graduate my oldest two from homeschool this year and launch them off into the world as young adults. This has been such a long journey that will be bittersweet to see to fruition. Letting go is going to be both exciting and incredibly hard.
I am looking forward to finding a forever home in El Paso and a community to go along with that.
I am desiring to both live in the present moment here while we’re still in Germany and look forward to the future that will begin when we settle in our new home.
Along with all that this year is going to contain, I want to document it and share it. I’m coming back here once again to process all of these changes and share them as best as I can.
Here’s to celebrating 45 years and to the next 45 (and more) to come!
