It is often when I am at the end of things that I look back and find so much to be thankful for…the end of the week, end of the day, end of an assignment.
I’m not sure exactly why that is, but there is something about ends that make us, or at least me, a bit nostalgic.
I recently purchased a new notebook to help me record my blessings. It resides on the nightstand by my bed so I can do my pondering and recording at the end of each day.
The book was ordered from May Designs in case you’re wondering.
I love writing in pretty notebooks and May Designs has an incredible selection of beauties to choose from!
Already, the blessings are starting to fill my little notebook and I love looking at them and remembering all that I have been blessed by.
The blessings I am counting as “all mine” this week are…
Saturday afternoon spent at the park.
movie night (watching A Bug’s Life)
learning and exploring Photoshop CC
slow mornings
planned playdates
birthday party invitations
little presents made by Jenny
hearing that I am her “best mommy”
silence
father & son hiking after dinner
little boy devouring the dinner I thought he would reject
three year old best friends
little girls in princess dresses
little boys fighting with light sabers
cuddling with Jenny in the early morning hours
a park date with scrapbook friends
finally seeing some weight loss on the dreaded scale
Will’s sweet smile that warms my heart
stepping out on the balcony
a completed scrapbook album…another year documented!
What blessings are you thankful for today?
Barbie says
Thanks for sharing your beautiful blessings. This week, I’m thankful for warm weather and flip flops!
