I read this verse on Sunday morning as I was in a time of struggle.
I was angry with God and not feeling very strong in my faith at all.
I needed to hear from His Word and His Word was clear to me.
God’s Word is true.
God always keeps His promises.
He kept every single promise that was made to the house of Israel.
Every. Single. One.
Now, that doesn’t mean that life was easy for the house of Israel.
They were disciplined and lived in captivity when they blatantly refused to obey Him and repeatedly chose to worship other Gods.
But His Word…His promises to them were kept.
And I can rest in knowing that His promises to me and to my family will be kept as well.
God is so faithful and has always been ever present and faithful to us.
He doesn’t promise a life of ease.
But, He does promise to be with us, to give us peace and to sustain us through hardships.
I am trusting in His promises and holding onto them today, knowing that not one word of them will fail me.
All will come to pass!
Ann Marie says
“All I know is I’m not home yet. This is not where I belong. Take this world and give me Jesus. This is not where I belong.”
Praying for you my dear friend! Tender hearts can become weary easily in this world – I’ve been struggling with our routine and trying to plan our homeschool year has been overwhelming. Keep your eyes on Jesus and your heart will find peace! (Big hugs)
