There are days of school in our home that are pure struggle.
I pray to make it through the day intact.
There are days when it all seems so hopeless and I end up discouraged to the bone.
Then there are other days when I see sparks of hope.
These are the days when my children start to “get it”…whatever it may be.
These contain moments of watching them develop a love of learning.
Moments like this one when my five year old all boy wants to write…wants to practice letters. He concentrates so hard on doing well with his little pink tongue sticking out to the side of his mouth.
Those are the days that encourage me to see beyond the others.
Because of these days I look right past and beyond the days laden with struggle.
Yes, I look straight beyond them and see better tomorrows.
I can see that the struggle won’t always be there.
There is hope for this mama just trying to do her best and praying that it is enough.
I can be encouraged and look beyond as I pause to cherish moments like this.
Be encouraged with me, remember your moments of hope and look beyond your struggle to a better tomorrow.
This post is linked to 5 Minute Friday at Lisa-Jo Baker, the Gypsy Mama.
Want to join in? Here’s how…
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back to The Gypsy Mama and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

I am “beyond” in love with your photos today. I’ve seen the same look on my boys. The fact that you can take the photos and capture these moments means that at least part of you cherishes them. Hold onto these special moments, they pass so quickly.

I love this post. As a fellow homeschooling mother, I realize the importance to know there is life beyond the struggles. One day, our children will understand multiplication and we will look back and laugh about the trials. We have to focus on the future. 🙂
Thanks for the reminder. I’m stopping by from 5 Minute Friday.

Yay! I get all happy and dancy and clappy when the Bunny gets some school thing right or gets excited about a project. Yay for you.

What a beautiful post. You truly are blessed to be able to homeschool your children. I will be homeschooling my 7th grader this year, while working full time (a very flexible job at my church). Please pray for me!
