I love blogging!
I love writing, sharing, and creating community.
But while I love blogging, I cannot allow blogging to overtake my life.
Blogging is a hobby for me. I have no aspirations to become a professional blogger or create a business.
I simply want to share my family’s memories, our story, my faith, and my love for preserving memories through the art of digital scrapbooking.
In 2012 my focus is on enjoying everything I do, including blogging.
One way to simplify blogging and make it more enjoyable is to create a blog schedule.
I’ve created a weekly schedule for my blog posts this year and already it has made it so much more enjoyable.
I’m not stressing about what to write each day.
I have a plan…a plan that I am happy with and I think will actually work.
My blogging schedule for 2012 is:
Sunday – Scripture
I’ll share a scripture that’s meaningful for me. Some Sundays I’ll write more in depth about it and some days I’ll just share the scripture and let God’s Word speak for itself.
Monday – Menu Plan Monday & Multitudes on Monday
I’ll be sharing our family’s menu plan for the week and linking that up at OrgJunkie. I’ll also be writing about and sharing my list of multitudes of blessings. This will be linked up at A Holy Experience.
Tuesday – Project Life 2012
I’ll share my pictures for the previous week and completed Project Life layouts.
Wednesday – One Little Word
As I mentioned yesterday, I’ll be writing about and sharing projects I’ve done that have helped me focus on my one little word, Enjoy.
Thursday – Tips, Tricks, and Tidbits
Thursday will be a day for random sharing of tips and tricks or all sorts (parenting, marriage, blogging, scrapbooking, recipes, etc.) and/or tidbits from our life that I think you may find helpful.
Friday – 5 Minute Friday
On Fridays I’ll take five minutes to write, unedited, from the heart. The topics for this are usually assigned and I’ll be linking to the 5 Minute Friday Post at The Gypsy Mama.
Saturday – Scrapbook Saturday
Saturdays will be focused on Digital Scrapbooking. I’ll share layouts I’ve created and tutorials to help beginner digital scrapbooks. I’ll also highlight products and exciting things happening around my favorite digital scrapbooking sites.
I’m really looking forward to enjoying what this new year has in store for DailyDwelling!
I’m looking forward to interacting with you through my posts and comments. Thank you for visiting and allowing me to share my life with you.

I have a blog schedule in my head. I have thought about placing it in the sidebar of my blog as a reminder. I think it definately helps to have a schedule laid out!

I try to blog at least four times per week. I too participate in Multitude Mondays and The Gypsy Mama’s Five Minute Friday. Wednesdays are usually wordless – it forces me to practice photography 😉 Tuesdays are my free day but I’m attempting to center it around the homeschool blog hop. You are right – a schedule keeps the wheels in motion and keeps the blogosphere more sane!

I’m working on this schedule thing.
So far, I have One Word Wednesdays, Things I Love Thursday, and Five Minute Friday. It’s already helping me to blog more! I’m going to start Multitudes on Monday. Who knows what else?
Thanks for the encouragement to schedule. It’s really a great idea.

I love this Monica! This week I’ve been thinking I needed some kind of plan and here you lay it out so simple. I must put my thoughts on paper and get to practicing. Great tips! Blessings friend.

Hmmm…I’ve never thought about blogging on a schedule. I’ll give it some thought because I’ve always been very random with it. Great idea!

Great tip. It’s something I’m working on this year, a loose schedule of course, I tried to do a schedule last year & just failed, it was too busy. Time to simplify,

I’m going to “try” and make a schedule. It sounds like a great idea to have something in particular to write about on certain days, Love your scrapbook pages you do!

I tried this idea once, a long time ago and it didn’t stick. But thanks to your inspiration, I’ve decided to try it again. Hopefully, it will work out better for me this time!

Great idea setting up a schedule! I think that’s what I need, maybe not as structured as yours is – but I think I do need to schedule time each week to dedicate towards blogging. Otherwise I might not keep it up, and I’d really like to have that log of my life to look back upon. Thanks for the idea! Have a great week!
