Regretfully, it has been a long time since I’ve posted my blessings.
It’s not that I have forgotten to live a life of thankfulness…I haven’t. But I have neglected the counting.
And the counting of my blessings is so important to my continued living of a thankful life.
I was reminded of this as I began a digital scrapbook class focused on recognizing Awesome in our life and recording the things that are awesome.
As I began to list some of the awesomes in my life, I realized that anything that I have or that I experience that can be labeled with “awesome” is a gift from my Father above.
He gets the credit for any awesome that I have.
So my counting begins again…
316. remembering
317. drinking a cold diet coke at the end of a long day
318. coloring in the lines
319. clean kitchen counters
320. date night to a Mexican restaurant and shopping
321. babysitters who are reliable, responsible, and loved by my children
322. hair that cooperates on the second day
323. Converse tennis shoes with pink laces
324. wearing my apron to cook and clean with intention
325. baby walking around the house, arms out like Frankenstein
326. getting baby high-fives
327. making doughnuts for Sunday morning breakfast
328. my new household management notebook…all ready to be used
329. sweet girls reading their Bibles on the couch early Monday morning
330. baby girl helping with the dishes
331. watching the rain come down

It’s been hard for me to list my blessings too. I was in the practice, early on, of writing them down daily. Now I am finding I have to ask God to bring them to my memory so that I can write my post. Just another reminder that I haven’t yet learned how to be purposeful! Have a beautiful day!
