Before EA and MC’s nap, we always make a trip into the bathroom to change out of their panties and into pull-ups. They are potty-trained, but not at the point of ALWAYS staying dry through their naps. Most of the time they wake up with dry pull-ups, but they wear pull-ups “just in case”.
I also have them try to go potty so they have a bigger chance of waking up dry.
Today, EA was changing while MC was going potty. And somehow EA was standing over the potty with her panties in her hand while MC was flushing and IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE, the panties disappeared.
AND CHAOS ENSUED!!
MC immediately began crying…..
EA immediately began screaming….
and I began laughing….
Oh, and Will looked at us all like we just lost our minds.
I asked MC what happened to the panties and in between sobs, she said “I flushed the panties!”
I looked to see if maybe they didn’t make it all the way down, but they did. I’m just hoping that their little 3T’s are small enough that they aren’t going to cause any plumbing problems.
It took quite a while to get everyone calmed down and ready for their naps after the panty flushing accident.
We’ve all heard that we shouldn’t cry over spilled milk. Why? Because it really does us no good. It was an accident and it’s best to just clean it up and move on.
I’m suggesting that the same is true of flushed panties…there’s no need for precious tears to be shed.

That’s too funny!! My younger brother is eight years younger and I remember him flushing socks, shoe strings, and a laser pointer down the toliet. I think the only thing that caused problems was the laser pointer. Hopefully, you’re in the clear!

I’m glad you have a wonderful sense of humor! When a friend was helping me paint the livingroom of our new home (new to us but very old in age), she thought the lid on the 5 gallon bucket of paint was on tight. She turned it over to mix up the paint and it opened up, letting the white paint pour all over the pink carpet. She was in tears and I was taking pictures and laughing! Humor gets us through the rough times!

I find myself saying that phrase over and over when things go wrong around the house.

Too funny! The only thing that’s gone down our potty so far is a nickel. A friend of mine’s little girl flushed her wedding rings down the potty!!
