I recently completed a digital scrapbooking class called Album of Awesome. The class was taught by Stephanie of TheDailyDigi and based on the concept of finding the “awesome” things in everyday life. This idea was originated by Neil Pasricha on his blog 1000 Awesome Things.
Basically an “awesome” is a little everyday thing that brings a smile to your face.
As I took this class I began to make note of many everyday “awesomes” to use in making a 4 x 6 album.
But as I did this, I realized that I didn’t want to make just one album and have that be the end of it.
Instead I want to make an ongoing album that I am constantly adding to. I don’t want to limit myself to a certain number of pages.
I am keeping a running list of “awesomes” in an Evernote notebook that I have apps for on my iPod touch and my cell phone.
Every Thursday I will be sharing one of my “awesomes” with you and asking you to share one of your awesomes as well. For now, I’m just asking that you share in the comments, but I am also considering hosting a weekly blog carnival of awesomes.
Along with sharing my “awesome” each week, I’ll also show you the album page to go along with it.
AND I’ll give you an opportunity to have a print made of your awesome.
I’ll pick a random commenter each week to win a 4 x 6 scrapbook or album page of their awesome!!
These would be great to put into a small frame for your desk or just to keep around as a reminder to look for the “awesome” in your life.
My first “awesome” post will go up tomorrow morning, so be ready to comment away!

What we actually learn, from any given pair of circumstances, determines whether we become increasingly powerless or even more powerful.
Ultimately, invariably winners are those who think they’re able to.
