1. I finished reading the novel, Me Before You by JoJo Moyes earlier this week and it was so, so good! It was kind of a romance story, but it dealt with some pretty big issues. I was captured by this story and the characters in it so much that I had a hard time concentrating on much else while reading it.
2. I am really loving shopping in the local downtown boutiques. I found the tunic I wore to the art museum yesterday at my newest favorite shop, Artistic Works by Lou, which is located in downtown Leavenworth. I love the urban chic style of everything in her store, including her handmade jewelry.
3. Speaking of jewelry, I received my first Fair Trade Friday Club box today and I am in love with this Redeemed necklace put together by women from Kenya, the Philippians, and refugees from Nepal. I find myself praying for these women every time my hand touches a bead or the thread on this necklace.
4. We visited Atchison, KS today to see the birthplace of Amelia Earhart and while there we visited Nell Hill’s, a stunningly beautiful home decorating shop. There was so much there!!! I came away inspired and itching to go back. I had to laugh at this picture Keith took of Will surrounded by glassware, though. My boy in a room full of home decor breakables is scary! Keith was so sweet to take Will and Jenny out while I browsed and shopped at leisure.
5. I found a new favorite snack while shopping at the commissary this morning, Nut Exactly Snack Bites by Fisher. Oh, my…y’all these are so good!!! Almond popcorn dipped in milk chocolate…I think I’m already addicted!
I hope you guys have a great weekend!!!
