Happy Friday Friends!
The weekend cannot come soon enough for me this week!
I’m looking forward to Easter weekend with my family and remembering Christ’s sacrifice for my sins through His coming to earth, His death, and most importantly, His resurrection. The kids and I will be joining Keith at the chapel on post for Easter services and enjoying a brunch at home afterwards.
It has been a busy week and I’m dragging a bit today and so thankful for the extra bit of fun, rest and rejuvenation that the weekend provides.
How about a little Friday update??
//READING// I just started reading Sourdough by Robin Sloan yesterday. My mom gave me this book for Christmas (it was on my wish list) and I’ve been looking forward to starting it! It’s very different from the books I typically read, so I’m excited for the change. AND I just found out that the cover glows in the dark, so that’s cool!
//LISTENING// I am listening to Born a Crime by Trevor Noah and really enjoying it. I love learning about different cultures and learning about Trevor Noah’s life before and after apartheid in South Africa. I didn’t even realize that Trevor Noah is the host of The Daily Show until I was over half way through the book. Knowing that makes it even more interesting.
//LEARNING// I’ve been attending the Spouse’s Leadership Development Course at the Sergeants Major Academy where my husband works all week. It have been learning so much about the role of the Senior Spouse in the Army and the many resources that are available to our families.
//PLANNING// I am trying to decide if I’m going to participate in the #100dayproject this year, and if I am what my project will be. I’ve been inspired by so many creatives who are participating and are sharing their plans on Instagram! I’m about 90% certain that I participate and am really trying to nail down my plans. I’m thinking I’m going to do 100 days of Scrapping, but 100 days of Scripture Cards is another possibility along with 100 Days of Blogging. Ha!!! I’ll be sure to update you next week and I’m sure I’ll be posting my projects here and definitely on Instagram as well.
//WATCHING// It’s Opening Day for baseball and my family has been watching! I’ve been in class, but the kids and Keith have enjoyed watching a few games. In fact, they’re watching the Reds as I write this. We’re not a very sporty family, but baseball is the one sport that we like watching. We’re looking forward to truly enjoying this baseball season.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
