I made this easy and delicious recipe for our special Valentine’s breakfast.
Ingredients:
5 c. bread cubes
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. white sugar, divided
1/4 t. salt
1 t. vanilla extract
1 T. margarine, softened
1 t. ground cinnamon
Directions:
1. Prehead oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter an 8 x 8 in. baking pan.
2. Line bottom of pan with bread cubes. In a large bowl, beat together eggs, milk, 2 T. sugar, salt and vanilla. Pour egg mixture over bread. Dot with margarine; let stand for 10 minutes.
3. Combine remaining 2 T. sugar with 1 t. cinnamon and sprinkle over the top. Bake in preheated oven about 45 to 50 miutes, until top is golden.
This smelled so good baking in the oven! The kids and I were so ready to eat it when it was done!!!
I served it with sliced fresh strawberries, whipped cream, syrup, and sausages.
Enjoy….we did!!!

Have a great day celebrating with your kids… I love the tradition Keith has of giving Barbie’s to his girls, how very sweet. I hope that you enjoy your night out and that you can make some special memories with the kids today even though you aren’t celebrating the way you would prefer.
AND, I am eager to hear that proposal story girlie!

The only thing that stopped me from making this yesterday was the fact that I knew I was going to finish the whole pan by myself. Definitely will make this very soon. Thank you for such a yummy sounding recipe.
