In the middle of the night there was a knock on our bedroom door.
My husband opened up the door and a little threenager girl with wild hair holding a stuffed Elmo walked to our bed and climbed in as if she belonged there.
She tossed and turned for what seemed like ages and then looked up and asked, “No pillow for me??”
No…my spoiled little princess, we didn’t have a pillow in the middle of our bed for your and your precious little head, but my husband got up and recovered her requested “white pillow” from her bed and she settled in shortly afterward.
At last check she was still cuddled in my warm bed with Elmo.
Hopefully, she’ll wake up a happy girl after such restful sleep.
Unfortunately, my little boy isn’t doing so well this morning.
Soon after he work up, he called upon me to inform me that he threw up.
I settled him on the couch with a blanket and turned on Disney Junior who just happens to be playing Disney movies all day.
Poor thing has already thrown up again and I have a blanket under him so our couch isn’t destroyed by the end of the day.
I’m attempting to have a slow, relaxing morning before I have to begin the process of getting ready for our Saint Barbara’s Ball tonight.
I love attending Military Balls with my husband!
And tonight’s St. Barbara’s Day Ball is going to be a special one for him. He’s receiving an award, the Order of Saint Barbara, and will be giving the prayer for the ball along with participating in some other events of the night.
I’ll have more pictures of the ball to share tomorrow, but for now, take a look at the shoes I’m wearing tonight…
I love them, but I don’t think I’ve ever worn heels that high.
I practiced walking in them last night and let’s just say that the night will be a success if it ends without a trip to the ER for me.
Wish me luck!
