Well, we’re here!!!
The drive through Texas to El Paso was beautiful!
We arrived in El Paso last Monday found a house right away! Thankfully, we beat our driver here and were able to have our household goods delivered to our house on Tuesday.
To say that this was a whirlwind of a move would be quite the understatement.
We’ve been in our house in El Paso for one week and it’s already mostly unpacked.
Jenny has been a huge helper in that endeavor…she jumps in a box filled with packing paper to make it more compact.
The weather was perfect when we arrived…great for the kids to run around the backyard. Unfortunately, that perfect weather didn’t last long…it has been COLD here in the desert! We’re looking forward to it warming up a little next week. I’m sure I’ll be eating those words in a few months!
I’m so ready to get back to some normalcy. I’ll start blogging more regularly as we get more and more settled into our new home.
And hopefully, we’ll be all set to start school next week!

I start a long-term sub job in the morning. 🙂 I’ll be a Teacher’s assistant in a 1st-3rd Montessori class until mid-April. I did part of the long-term for the other Montessori aide in the fall– both ladies were/are student teaching— so I am praying that being the sub of choice for both will put me at the top of the list to HIRE as their replacements when they take teaching jobs. 🙂 We shall see what God has in store.
I enjoy all the teachers I will be working with (I’m “based” in one classroom, but work with the kids and teachers from 2 others as well.) I am looking forward to the routine– not having to wait for the phone to ring in the AM to know if I’m working or not; and I’m also looking forward to the steady pay.
Continuing to pray for you as you get settled!! 🙂
Love your guts!

Yay, Jennifer!!! I’m so excited that for your long term sub job! I’ll be praying for you as you begin this new position and for you to get hired for next school year. It has to be such a relief not to have to wait on the phone to ring each day!
Love your guts right back, friend!

Glad to hear you are safe and settled. I figured you had been super busy when you hadn’t posted for a few days.
