I’m so excited to be attending the Blissdom blogging conference again this year!
When we were making plans to move to El Paso, I thought Blissdom in Nasheville would be out of the question for me. And then this summer when Blissdom announced that they were moving to Dallas, TX, it suddenly seemed like a possibility again. Little did I know then that Texas is so huge that I’d still have to fly there!
This will be my third time attending Blissdom since to blog here in 2007.
I have always approached Blissdom as a chance to have fun, meet some blogging friends and get away from the demands of home. I’ve been somewhat closed to the idea of “building my blog presence” or using it as a time to truly learn.
And I’ve been approaching it in the same way until very recently.
This year I want to learn in addition to all of those other things!
I want to soak up the knowledge and experience of other bloggers.
I want to really seek out what DailyDwelling can become.
When I started this blog over five years ago, I thought that maybe one day it could be used as a ministry of encouragement to other moms like me.
While my family will always be my first ministry, I also want this place to be just that…a ministry to you.
I want it to be a source of encouragement in your faith, in homeschooling and in parenting.
I also love connecting with you on a personal level and I want to continue to do that.
I want DailyDwelling to offer value to you!
So, as I prepare to travel to Dallas for Blissdom, I am seeking some help from you.
I would love to hear from you about why you visit DailyDwelling and how I can make your time here more valuable and encouraging.
I would like to know…
What kinds of post to you enjoy reading?
What would you like to see more or less of?
What area can I encourage you in?
And how can I help encourage you?
Please comment below to offer your feedback (and please don’t feel limited to these questions). I am going to take your words to heart and pray about where God is leading me over the next several days.
As a thank you I will be giving away a $15 Amazon Gift Card, drawing a winner from the comments below on Monday, March 25.

I love your daily life updates, scrapbooking, and recipes/menu the best. I don’t homeschool but I do find the posts interesting and will sometimes incorporate some ideas to supplement our public school education at home. I started reading your blog b/c you were in VA, like me but still enjoy reading about your family’s adventures. My kids are the same age as Will and Jenny so I enjoy reading about someone else going thru the same stages I am. Keep all the same sorts of posts coming! You are especially encouraging to me with my scrapbooking. I am not a digital scrapbooker and probably never will be but I am encouraged to keep plugging away when I have time and attempt to get the kids books up to date. Enjoy your break. Twice a year I go away with friends and go on scrapooking weekends and I look forward to them for months beforehand!

Just found this, so adding my thoughts, even though you are now back from Blissdom!
I love how you share your faith through this blog, alongside your other passions – family, homeschooling, digi scrapping etc.
(You have inspired me to get back to digital scrapbooking again!)
I believe your blog ALREADY IS a ministry to others 🙂
Keep sharing,
Hugs and prayers!
