Mary Catherine was such a happy baby!
She woke up most mornings with a smile on her face just like in this picture.
She was our miracle baby.
She and her twin sister were born at just 30 weeks when I developed preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome.
She struggled during their first weeks in the NICU.
There was one point where we weren’t sure if she would survive.
Many, many prayers were prayed on her behalf and she did survive. She came home after nine weeks in the NICU.
I am convinced that even as a baby she was determined to enjoy every bit of life that she was given.
When I saw this beautiful kit by One Little Bird, my mind went back to my mornings with MC…of her waking up so happy each morning. I thought of this specific picture and knew I had to scrap it with this kit.
Putting this page together reminds me of why I scrap and why I love this hobby of scrapbooking.
I scrap to remember.
I scrap to remember the moments of our lives, the small and the big moments that make us who we are.
I scrap to cherish our memories and preserve them for my family.

Even if I am a year or two behind I scrap so my kids will remember how much we love them and have wonderful memories growing up. I love looking back and seeing how little they were or reading the funny stuff they say. I try to journal about things I want to remember so when I do get around to scrapbooking the pictures. I am a chronological scrapper so it will be a while before I get caught up with 2 kids albums to do.
