When I saw the Ice Cream Card Theme for the Card Caravan at the Hybrid Chick, I immediately had an idea of what I wanted to do.
I’ve been meaning to start making use of the print and cut feature on my Silhouette for card making and this challenge gave me just the right amount of motivation to do it.
When I was in college, we did a mission trip to inner city Washington D.C. One of the songs we sang to the children in our VBS was “Jesus loves me better than ice cream…and Ice Cream is very good!”.
I made an ice cream card that says, “I love you better than ice cream” on the front and “And Ice Cream is very good!” on the inside.
My husband is always surprising me with sweet notes and Hallmark cards. It felt good to give one to him for a change!
For this I used elements from the kit I Scream for Ice Cream by Jady Day Studio.
I used the print and cut feature to cut out the layered papers and ice cream elements for the card. It was so much easier than cutting with scissors!
