This week I have resolved to limit my time on the computer and online. (I’ll be writing more about that later.)
I’ve done this in order to restore focus…focus on my children, my husband, and my home.
I’ve joined with a friend who’s resolved to do the same for accountability.
In the few days that I have done this, I have regained some focus to my days.
I have spent more meaningful time with my children.
I have been immensely blessed by this time.
And as a result I have more blessings to be counted.
This week I am counting the blessings of…
94. handmade crafts sitting on my desk
95. six year old sister sitting with her three year old brother, a book between them, “teaching him to read”
96. diet coke at the end of the day…a refreshing treat
97. a friend who understands
98. dancing with my little boy during an impromptu dance party in the living room…lots of giggles and Jenny joining in
99. children asking for fruit
100. clean filtered water pouring into my glass of ice
101. being in church on Sunday morning
102. an afternoon pick-me-up…coffee & chocolate biscotti…for this sluggish mama surviving daylight savings time
103. conversations with my husband
104. reading a bedtime book in my little boy’s bed
105. listening to the baby’s babbling…I think she said “mama”

I am doing the same thing! No blogging during the day and only minor facebook and twitter times. THen I get all my work done after my husband comes home and after bedtime. Sure makes me really love the time I have with my kids!

I can so appreciate your need to focus more with less time on the computer. During the past few weeks, I’ve spent soooo much time reading all the gratitude lists. They are so uplifting and just sooooo good. But I may have to get a timer and just limit myself. Minutes can slip into hours before I know it! Thank you for the reminder to be more focussed on the important things in life!!!! It was great to be here!
