This is just a few of the ways that I’ve been able to keep my children busy in a virtually empty house for the past four weeks.
Crafts
Legos
Mr. Potato Head
Monster Truck Cars
And Plain Old Goofing Off
And now I’m going to have to get a little more creative as we move into a hotel for the next five days. Any suggestions??

Austin would LOVE the monster truck ramp!
I can’t think of anything creative for the hotel room–
but I CAN bring you toys if you need them!
I have a bag of big foam blocks, or I can pull a basket of random stuff out. We’ve got books too! 🙂 Just let me know!
Can’t believe you’ve only got 5 days left!

Looks like they had fun… a hotel stay will be fun for a few days… an indoor pool I hope? That will some movies… that’ll tire them out!
Happy Thanksgiving!

If you can buy or make (1 T cornstarch (I use waaayyyy more)
1/3 cup dish detergent (you may want to use something that won’t make your kids break out if they decide to paint their bodies. I use an eco friendly brand) and Food coloring) Bath tub paints I find this to be a great way to while away the hours, and the kids love the creativity and messiness of it.

Bathtub/body paint and borrowed toys sound like GREAT ideas!! LOTS of prayer– a a trip out a day (library, friends house, anywhere!) I will be praying these next few days go by smoothly!!! Love ya!! I’ll SEE YOU SOON!!! Whoo-Hoo!!! 🙂

Oh– just thought of something else– using the bedspreads to build a tent/houes either between the beds, or between a bed and a chair or two– you can use your full suitcases to hold the spread in place and keep the “roof” from caving in. 🙂
Well, gotta get back to making my mac and cheese and sweet potatoe casserole for the big meal tomorrow– Happy Thanksgiving!!! 🙂
