I’m spending today reminiscing about my little girls.
My little girls who seem to be getting bigger by the minute.
You see, today is their last day of being four and that makes me just a little bit sad.
Already, they seem to be acting like “five year olds”.
They’re beginning
to read
and reason
and understand
and ask questions
and love
and make jokes.
Every day with them is a new adventure.
I cherish each moment with my little girls.
I love to see them discover, learn, and grow.
But I also don’t want them to grow up.
I feel time slipping away from me.
Yes, five is still little.
But it seems so much bigger than four.
So much older.
Why is that?
I’m holding on to today, wishing it to last forever.
Because there can be no sadness for this mommy tomorrow.
No, tomorrow is promised to be a day of celebration.
A princess celebration.
For my two princesses who are eagerly awaiting their special day.
The waiting has been hard but they have made it. Just this morning, EA proclaimed that they “made it to March!“.
Today, on this last day of four, I’m taking a little picture walk down memory lane.
And you’re invited to join me.

Oh, we just saw the last day of four in mid-February. You’re right, 5 seems so much bigger than four.
Hope you have a joyous day tomorrow.

Have a fabulous party! It doesn’t seem that long ago that we had princess and Hello Kitty parties. Five is a great age though. My son just turned five several months ago, and he is blossoming and coming into his own. I love that they still want to please grown ups and are more independent at this age.

Wow its been a year already! I hope you all have a wonderful party! My little girl is doing that 5 already five thing. Just today while homeschooling some of the stuff we had been struggling with over and over she just got. like three or four things all at once today. I was so proud but suddenly she seemed so much more grown up too.

Oh, Monica, you are soooo right!! Time seems to slip by so quickly. I always seem to be a little sad every year near the birthdays. It makes me think of how quickly “my” time will be gone. Have fun tomorrow!!
