I believe the world can be changed with just one word.
Our own private worlds can be drastically be changed with this word.
Look into the eyes, the very soul of those around you.
Look and see their needs, their fears, their hurts, their joys, their deep of it all.
Look into the eyes of Jesus through His word and see His love, His grace, His mercies, His forgiveness.
Look into the eyes of your spouse and see them. See their love for you. See them as your partner, your friend, your lover, not your enemy.
Look into the eyes of your children, those precious souls entrusted to you by our Father in heaven. See their lives through His eyes. See their joy for life, their needs, their trust, their hope, their fears. See them…really see them when you look.
Look into the eyes of your friends. See the connections they are longing to make, see their longings, see the place from which their laughter and tears come as you share your lives.
Look into the eyes of that sinner you’re judging. See past their sin into the hearts that need Christ’s healing.
With just one word, by looking and truly seeing those around us we can offer change and hope to our world.
I’m going to look today and see those around me…truly see them…today.
This post is being linked to 5 Minute Friday at Lisa Jo’s where every Friday bloggers come together to just write for 5 minutes without worrying if it’s right or not. What a freeing thing to do!
To join in…
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments.

There’s so much more to the word look, than the simple definition it seems to have. I loved your quote, “With just one word, by looking and truly seeing those around us we can offer change and hope to our world.” This is so important to me as a teacher.
God bless, and Happy Friday!

It is important to remember that as a teacher. You truly have a ministry and God is going to use you in the lives of your students in a mighty way!

This idea has been informing my prayer life…a lot!…lately.

This is wonderful and convicting! Thank you for letting Christ use you to encourage others. I am so easily guilty of rushing through life without really looking into the eyes of the people I pass by, live with, and work with.

I think we’re all guilty of that at times. I’m learning to stop and truly see people more as God sees them. It’s teaching me to love in a new way!

This is so true.
Especially for me:
“See their joy for life, their needs, their trust, their hope, their fears. See them…really see them when you look.”
I need to do this more…I’ve been selfish. I am looking and seeing now.

I am praying asking God to give me eyes to see, to truly see others, the way He sees them. Have a blessed weekend.
