I created this page for a Build Your Own Scrap challenge at The Lilypad’s Halloween Bash.
Here are the instructions for this scrap:
STEP #1: You are to use EVEN number of pictures. (It could be 2, 4, 6, etc)
STEP #2: Use an ODD number of patterned papers.
STEP #3: Use 4 buttons or round elements/objects.
STEP #4: Add 2 Word Arts.
STEP #5: Pick a journal card, or ephemera card.
STEP #6: Messy black stitches.
I actually forgot that first instruction when I started scrapping and later noticed that I was supposed to have an even number of pictures here, so I added the square-ish cropped photo and I actually really like the two photos together on this.
For the odd number of patterned papers, I created a 3×3 grid of papers sized 3in x 3 in. I used three different fun Halloween papers from Thirty-One by Amber LaBau and Sarah Gleason.
The “there is magic in the night” word strips were just perfect for these photos of EA dressed up as Hermione from Harry Potter on Halloween last year.
I used paper confetti to anchor the page and staples to “adhere” the papers.
The two word arts I choose to use are the “halloween” and “boo” stickers. I love the script-y look of them so much!
As I have said before, I love creating “in season” layouts. You can definitely expect more Halloween themed layouts from me over the next week as Halloween approaches!

You know Monica, you should really think about running your own online ‘scrap booking for beginners’ classes/courses. I’d sign up! You could also try out a faith-based one!

That is definitely something I have thought about. I should probably do some more serious praying about it! ?
