As I sit here planning our meals for this week, I am reminded of Jesus’ words in Matthew 6…
Therefore, I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value they they?
Matthew 6:25-26
Isn’t incredible that our God will take care of every one of our needs!?
He is so good to us.
Meal planning and grocery shopping (which is my next task of the day) can sometimes feel like a dreadful chore.
Thinking of these “chores” as a way to be used of God to bless my family really changes my perspective on them.
I am blessed to be the vessel through which He feeds my family each week!
Here are the meals I have planned for this week…
Monday – BLT sandwiches, baked chips & carrot sticks (request by my husband)
Tuesday – Muffin Tin Meatloaf; Mashed Potatoes; Steamed Veggies
Wednesday – Lasagna & Garlic Bread for kids; AWANA date for hubs and I
Thursday – Slow Cooker White Chicken Chili; Corn Muffins
Friday – Fish Tacos; Spanish Rice
What’s on your family’s menu for this week?

I’m an ordinary parent. I’m starting in on phonics teaching with my kids and I was wondering if you all could share your ideas for fun ways to present and practice phonics lessons. I’m not going with a curriculum package so I could use all the ideas you have. I have always read to my kids and this year I am planning to home school my youngest son and my biggest goal is to have him reading by the time he should start kindergarten next year. This program seems to be in line with helping us reach this goal. Thank you so much for making it known.
I came across educationalfun.info. which I think is an amazing reading program that will hopefully help my son as well.
